Signals is the hub: signals-protocol gRPC, YuniKorn admission, Airflow coordination, platform Metaflow, and transparent hierarchical storage (Kudu, Iceberg, Impala, PostgreSQL). Independent engines — Gaius (cognition), Ægir (instruct), Atelier (referee) — keep their own products and attach over that lattice. Reach is event-sourced manufacturing; Vigil is a resource-oriented compute fabric for high-latency sites. Founded in 2026 by Ryan Hill. weathership.org.

Ryan Hill — founder

Ryan founded weathership in 2026 to give a single home to related engineering threads: a federated control plane (Signals), cognition and graph interfaces (Gaius), hierarchical sequence models (Ægir), and distributed manufacturing (Reach). Prior work spans applied machine learning, information retrieval, and distributed systems across financial services and enterprise software.
